Economic Propulsion Plan in 2025

Thailand’s tourism promotion this year focuses on various activities and strategies to attract domestic and foreign tourists under the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025” campaign, as well as developing travel systems and supporting domestic tourism.

1. Grand Festival

A large-scale year-round event aimed at facilitating travel, such as the development of public transportation and travel between major and secondary cities to spread tourism throughout the country.

2.Grand Moment

The launch of new Very VIP travel routes that meet the needs of tourists from major countries such as China, Malaysia, India, South Korea, and Russia by extending visa waiver time for tourists from many countries to facilitate easier access.

3.Grand Privilege

A combination of shopping, travel packages, air tickets, and payment channels, by promoting more domestic tourism, such as a 50% discount on accommodation during the low season to reduce expenses and encourage more Thai people to go out.

4.Grand Invitation

Grand Invitation: Inviting world-class people to visit Thailand throughout the year by organizing international competitions such as LPGA golf, MotoGP, Volleyball World Championship, and SEA Games, attracting foreign tourists and promoting tourism from world-class activities.

5.Grand Celebration

Grand Celebration: Celebration events such as Songkran and other festivals will help stimulate more traveling.

In addition, new tourism-related laws have been developed by revising the laws on homestay and Airbnb, which will allow small business owners to enjoy more privileges and competition in the market.

The “Easy E-Recipt” project will be valid from January 15 to February 28, 2025, allowing people who have to pay taxes to use electronic tax invoices from e-Tax Invoice & e-Recipt stores for tax deductions of up to 50,000 baht in 2025.

This project starts after the New Year, so the impact of the New Year may not be significant. However, spending is expected to increase to more than 53 billion baht from January 29 to February 2 during the Chinese New Year of 2025, up more than 10% from last year.

Meanwhile, spending after the New Year will still have to wait and see because people have recently spent money on tourism and gifts during the New Year. However, spending is expected to grow and may have a circulation of around 70 billion baht in the economic system.
