Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain

Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain is located in the Andes Mountains, Peru, with a height of 5,200 meters or more than 15,600 feet above sea level. Thus, it may take some time to adapt to get used to the height during the journey to the top of the mountain. The highlight of this mountain is its unique colorful marble caused by centuries of soil deposition. The best time to visit this colorful mountain is August since it is the dry season which enhances the color of the mountain.

Giant's Causeway

Giant’s Causeway is located on the coast of Northern Ireland. It is an area where more than 40,000 neat columns of basalt are formed in the North Atlantic Ocean. It is a picture that is nowhere to be found. This was a result of a volcanic eruption about 60 million years ago, the rapid cooling of lava emitted from underground causes rocks to harden and form cracks into similarly shaped stone pillars. Giant’s Causeway was also selected as a natural World Heritage Site in 1986.

Tianzi Shan Mountain

Tianzi Shan Mountain is located in Huanglong National Park, Hunan, China, with an area of 65 square kilometers and a top of Tianzi Shan Mountain height of 1,250 meters which is the highlight of this national park.

Tianzi Shan Mountain is a sandstone mountain with towering natural stone pillars, formed by the erosion of water and wind over a long period, resulting in a very diverse and remarkable shape. This place’s weather will be cool all year round and often covered by fog, making it look like a landscape from a fairy tale or a blockbuster movie.

Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus is located in the land of Greece, consisting of 52 mountain ranges and the highest peak is Miticus, which is 9,570 feet high. With the height and beauty of the summit, Olympus is known as the home of Greece’s famous Greek gods.

The Olympus, which is surrounded by national parks and the world’s biosphere reserve, is characterized by its abundant vegetation, making it one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece. These majestic peaks which are often covered with mist or low clouds and raging storms, still fascinate the ancients. The Olympus which is visible from Thessaloniki which is located 53 miles away, can be seen from a scenic spot over most areas of northern Greece.

Mount Everest

It is almost impossible if the list of superb mountains does not have Everest, the highest peak of all peaks, with a height of 8,848 meters, protruding from the Himalayas on the Nepal-Tibet border.

As for the extreme nature of the area to the summit, those who want to conquer it need to be prepared for their bodies for months or years, because the weather and pressure while climbing up to the top make it difficult to breathe. This resulted in 340 deaths on Everest in May 2024.  The bodies were still in the mountains and hadn’t been moved down yet because the weather was not very favorable, and sending more people up might not be the answer.
