Che Kung temple

Let’s start with the temple that is popular among Thais named Che Kung Temple. It is a place where the god Chae Gong, a warrior who protected the last emperor of the Song Dynasty, was enshrined. Thai people often visit and wish for luck, wealth, and succeed.  Che Kung Miu Lucky Fan, an amulet, is worshiped because it is believed to attract money and luck, and dispel bad things. 

Tourists often spin the Lucky Fan because they believe that it will turn their lives from bad to good. There is also a gold leaf that people usually keep in their pockets for wealth. 

Those who would like to visit this temple can take an MTR underground, Ma On Shan line, and get off at Che Kung Temple station or Tai Wai Station. 

Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin Temple, also known as Red Thread Temple, is located in the middle of the town. It has stunning architecture influenced by Taoism. It is the temple where Wong Tai Sin God, a god of luck, health, and love, is enshrined. 

The singles will visit and make a wish to have a lover and those who have a partner will ask for an untroubled love. Those tourists who visit this temple often have something back to worship such as a red thread that promotes love. In addition, Wong Tai Sin Temple is also famous for its Syamsi that is agreed to be very accurate. 

Those who would like to visit this temple can take an MTR underground, Ma On Shan line, and get off at Wong Tai Sin, exit B3.

Tsz Shan Monastery

This is the temple where white 76-meter tall Guan Yin Statue is enshrined. It is believed that Guan Yin can make any wish come true whether children, work, health, or luck, under one condition the one who prays has to be a good person.

This temple is located among nature with the sea in the front and the mountains in the back,  making the area around the temple shady and fresh. It is not crowded because it limits the number of tourists to not exceed 500 people per day and they have to buy a ticket in advance, making this place peaceful and not chaotic. 

In addition to the inside of the temple as a wishing point, there is also a section of the museum that houses ancient objects for tourists to visit. You can travel to this temple by Mini Bus 20B.

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple is located in the heart of Kaoloon. This temple is well respected by Hong Kong people because there is not only Taoism but also includes the concept of Buddhism and Confucianism. This temple is built in memory of Father Wong Tai Sin or Huang Shu Bing. 

This temple is famous for its sacredness in money and luck. Most people who come to this temple make a wish related to money. Even though this temple is located in the middle of tall buildings, it is very shady with a large garden called Good Wish Garden that is filled with trees and has a large pond. The temple is also know for its Siamsi. There are almost 50 sets of Siamsi and is dubbed for its accuracy as well.

Those who would like to visit this temple can take an MTR underground, Tsuen Wan and Kwun Tong, and get off at Wong Tai Sin.

Man Mo Temple

This temple is located in Sheung Wan area. It is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong. This temple is popular among students and working people because it is famous to grant wishes about studying and working. The Man God is a god of liberal arts and literature because he held a pen in his hands. The Mo God is a god of war. Those who would like to visit this temple can take an MTR Sheung Wan, exit A2
