Let’s start with the landmark of Singapore where everyone has to visit and check-in which is Merlion, located at the front of The Fullerton Hotel and above the Marina Bay. It is a statue of a white fish with a lion head because fish was a symbol of a fishing village in tha past.
ArtScience Museum, which is located opposite the Merlion with a lake in between, has outstanding architecture that is similar to lotus. A variety of interesting exhibitions are held inside the museum, including science and inspiration. There is a modern art exhibition on both LED screens and crystal glass rooms. The ArtScience Museum is located near Marina Bay Sands as well.
Marina Bay Sands is a unique building consisting of 3 large buildings with a boat on the top. It is a major comprehensive resort with shopping malls, museum, theater, and entertainment. At the back of the Marina Bay Sands is a building with a large garden called Garden by the Bay.
Garden by the Bay is a large garden park filled with trees decorated with various lights that will be turned on at night. Tree lights and exciting soundtracks are displayed, and there is also a long bridge between the trees in which tourists have to take photos. In addition to the outer zone, there is also the inner zone called the Flower Dome. It is a large greenhouse with flower gardens inside. It will plant trees that simulate the atmosphere in various climatic zones. This is Singapore’s largest park as well.
Let’s get back to the Merlion side where the back of it is a collection of important places such as War Memorial Park, a memorial for the deaths of World War II, and St Andrew’s Cathedral, the original Gothic church. There are also interesting places along the way such as CHIJMES which is a spot for restaurants.
In the nearby area, there is a Peranakan Museum, a Singapore Museum that especially exhibits Peranakan culture. It was originally the first Asian Museum of Civilization.
Next is the National Museum of Singapore. The building is a perfect combination of beautiful ancient buildings and new buildings. Inside the museum, a variety of arts including culture, contemporary art, and film screening are exhibited.
At the back of the museum, there is a large park called Fort Canning Park, a park with a tree tunnel, the popular spot for tourists to visit and take check-in photos. In addition to being a garden with various trees, the garden is also one of Singapore’s most important historical sites, which used to be the palace of King Malay.
